Scrabble Competition & Peranakan Museum

Hello!
Today is 11 September 2009. Yesterday, I had a Scrabble competition at Ang Mo Kio Secondary School. Well, me and two of my friends were reserves. So, we like thought we'll never play. But turns out, another school needs us. So we played for Ang Mo Kio Primary. So, yah. Well, we had 5 games and each game was 1 hr. When we reached, we had a briefing. Then, we played the first game. That time, when we had to write the school, we wrote Geylang Methodist School (Primary). Then, after the first game, we had a break of 30 mins. Then the second game, then the break, then the third game. But after the third game, we had lunch. Then fourth game, then break, then fifth game, then we waited like 30 mins 'cos they had to tally up the score. So we had to watch some video. Well, my neighbour was also there. She's a pro at Scrabble. She won every game and her team won first prize!!!!!!!!! Sweet eh! Well, for me, I'm a newbie, so, I lost 4 but won the last one. (: OK, on to today. I visited the Peranakan Museum with Chicky Club. It was quite a pathetic one though, 5 people signed up but only 3 showed up. So, we went into the Peranakan Museum. First, we learnt about the Peranakan culture. Then we read a story called 'The BEaded Slippers' In the story, the main character was Puteh. Well, we learnt about the wedding. Then, the tour guide, Miss A, showed us the wedding basket that the newly-weds keep their presents. First was oranges, second, red packets and lastly, Peranakan clothing. I tried on the Peranakan blouse. It had no buttons. So, they used pins to keep it secure. Then, another girls tried the beaded slippers. My feet were too huge, so I couldn't wear them. (: Then, we went on a treasure hunt. Then, the girls coloured a penapek (page girl), and the boys coloured a Kooyah (page boy). So, Miss A had remaining Kooyahs. So, she gave it to us girls. Then, we went to KFC for our meal. Since so many people didn't turn up and there were extras, we brought them home. (: Then, I went to Miss Chia's house again. But this time, it ended at 4 because Miss Chia had something on. Miss Chia sent me home as it was on the way. Ok, I've gotta go now, SEEYA!
